Erin lives in a conservative family and is burdened with high expectations in her childhood. Wben she rebels her family, she tries to date boys and wear short skirts. She wonders if that was too much and doubts her ethics.
Erin's family has stereotypes towards teenagers, especially young girls that they should be obedient and traditional, because they are extremely religious. As a result, Erin has high standards for herself to be the ideal enthusiastic Christian, but this mindset eventually breaks down because the restrictions from the stereotypes are too much for her. She tries to refute stereotypes but she is unable to converse with friends normally because of her restrictions. Stereotypes from her family also affected Erin's relationship with her parents and causes disputes. Moreover, it causes her to lose confidence in herself and her ability to deal with relationships.
